Scott of Black Sea Scuba based in Bulgaria was the first person to show great interest in our trip. We were looking for a great dive operator to take us to the more interesting wrecks and sites of this historical region and Black Sea Scuba kindly offered to show us around and accommodate us in their nearby diver hotel. They have a wide range of dive sites for all levels and depths ranging from 10m to 200m. Being more used to Red Sea wrecks spanning just about 100 years, Black Sea Scuba have a much wider variety stretching from ancient times right up to modern eras. There are submarines and an aircraft to visit.
It is also important to use a center that is familiar and specialized in this region. Even though we have many thousands of dives between us already it’s the local knowledge that makes it worthwhile. Safety and enjoyment is greatly enhanced when you are diving in new places with people who know their way around and can help you see or learn about what you might have missed.
Black Sea Scuba are particularly useful since they have branches in both the North and South of Bulgaria where we will be traveling. We look forward to some great diving with them in early June 2011.
